Invisible : something waits where images stop / something waits when words stop, 2026
self-published, A5 format, 60 pages, 90g recycled paper, linen thread sewn binding
Colonial, ethnographic and personal images circulate without captions — found, collected, displaced. Text and image are experimented with as material, layering over one another and at times spilling beyond the frame.
This self-publication with no beginning and no end functions as a space of fragmented memory, an essay on the passage from words to images and on what resists both. Graphic and typographic design itself becomes a gesture of research: where writing fixes and the table of contents hierarchises, the publication allows what cannot be classified to circulate freely.
At the heart of the object, a sewn booklet — an archive within the archive — gathers experimental, intimate texts. The hand-sewn binding tells of what is held together by thread, gesture and repetition.
